Summer Solstice at Bell Hill
What: This Solstice celebration is a space to honor the longest day and for you to pursue whatever personal work you are called to do. The Fire will be lit on Friday, June 20th at 5 pm EDT. The ritual has no specific goal or group agenda. Choose your own adventure. This is a sacred container.
How: Our bare-bones campsite is about a 10-minute walk from the main road. Please bring all the food, WATER, and camping gear you will need for your stay.
When: Friday, June 20th through Sunday, June 22nd.
Where: The entrance to the land is directly across from 1108 Bell Hill Rd, Delhi, NY 13753. Use this google map link or enter 42°16'49.1"N 74°56'29.4”W into your GPS. There is parking in the field by the road. The campsite is a 10-minute walk through private woods.
Protocol at the Fire 🔥
Cleanse before you enter the space with smoke, water, or sound. (Cleansing options will be provided.)
Always walk counterclockwise. (There will be arrows to remind you.)
Respectful noise levels. (Be aware of your neighbors.)
Intention is important, especially in entering and exiting the circle.
Only guardians and fire tenders add wood to the fire. Resist the urge to help. It feels counter to the spirit of our weekend, but please trust that the fire is in good hands, maintained by folks with proper gear, clothing, and safety training.
You are encouraged to bring items for the altars. They can be added to any of the four altars and will charge with energy from the fire as long as you leave them there. Please avoid moving other people’s items when adding yours. Please make sure you take your items with you when you leave at the end of your time on the land.
You are also invited to make offerings to the fire. Offerings are different from items for the altars. Offerings are burned. We will provide cornmeal, tobacco, and herbs. If you have brought your own stuff to burn, please clear any offerings with the guardians before you add them to the fire.
